Elway Farm Lesson Policy:

There are no cash refunds for missed or unused lessons.

We need at least 10 calendar days notice to reschedule a missed riding lesson.

When LCPS are closed for holidays or inclement weather, Elway Farm’s lessons are USUALLY canceled.

We generally follow the school closings, except on certain ocassions. If Elway Farms have lessons on a school holiday, you will be notified of the change.

If you miss your lesson unexpectedly: (for ANY reason) your lesson can be made up if you schedule and take your make up lesson within 6 days of the miss. For example, if you have a flat tire or you are sick on your Saturday lesson, you have until Friday ( 6 days) to reschedule and take the make-up lesson. If the lesson cannot be made up in the time frame of 6 days, the lesson is forfeited.
If you know that you will miss your riding lesson: … AND give Elway Farm 10 days notice, the lesson(s) you miss can be made up any time within 30 days.
If you have an injury that prevents you from riding: You are still expected to come to your lesson once you are okay to walk around. “But I can’t ride !”, you say. Yes, that may be true, but the lesson program is not all about JUST riding a horse. It is about good horse care and good horsemanship. Even with crutches or a cast, you are expected to come for a lesson and learn essential information about horses even though you don't actually ride.
If you have an extended illness: If you have an extended illness that requires bed rest (the flu, pneumonia, etc), Elway Farm will allow you to make up your missed lesson(s) if they are made up within 14 calendar days from when you are well and back on your feet.

If Elway Farm cancels your lesson:
If your lesson is cancelled due to the fault of Elway Farm, you can reschedule and take your make up lesson anytime over the next 30 days.

If your lesson falls on a day that LCPS are closed:
If your lesson falls on a day that LCPS are closed as well as Elway Farm's lesson, ou will be able to make up that lesson if you schedule and take it within 30 calendar days.
